Hoops 4 Hope Kansas City News Third Annual GABL - Hoops 4 Hope New Years Tip Off Tournament A weekend of competition to support finding cures for all cancers and dedicated to those who will never give up hope and never stop fighting. GABL is holding the Third Annual New Years Tournament benefiting Hoops 4 Hope, a 501c3 charity with 100% of net proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society on January 2nd and 3rd 2010. With divisions for boys and girls; over 80 teams will participate in this years event. The tournament will cater to teams at both the competitive and the recreation level at Shawnee Mission North, East and West High Schools. 100% of the net proceeds from concessions, merchandise and the silent auction event along with a portion of the GABL gate going to benefit the American Cancer Society; our goal is to raise at least $25,000 annually through team registration fees, private donations, corporate sponsorships, prize raffles and a silent auction event.
